As I wandered sad and bleary
Through the thicket dark and dreary
I found a creature most bright and cheery
With bushy tail and fur we walked and walked until the clearing
When we made it I saw clearly
The way out though it was eerie
I could almost taste the freedom near me
But mistakes I have made quite severely
Still I’m lost in the bramble
Along and along I ramble
Nothing but endless babble
The fox is gone, a forgotten mammal
Gone to pastures far and wide
To freedom at another’s side
While I continue to pass by
The same exit to the outside
